Drew Buss, MS Ed, LIMHP
Drew is a Licensed Professional Counselor whose work experience includes direct care in group homes, administration of an emergency shelter, human services program management, and residential and outpatient counseling in agency and private practice settings. He earned his Master of Science degree from Indiana University in 1995 and was licensed in Nebraska in 1998. Drew’s practice commonly includes working with individuals ranging in age from early teens to seniors.
Drew’s approach to therapy emphasizes the importance of building strong and open relationships with his clients and their families, often incorporating cognitive-behavioral theory and mindfulness-based interventions. He is a Certified Teacher of Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) as trained through the University of California San Diego School of Medicine's Mindfulness Based Professional Training Institute and he teaches multiple MBSR courses each year at Into Balance and as an adjunct instructor at Nebraska Wesleyan University.

Liz Chalenburg, MS, PLMHP, LADC
Liz graduated from the University of Nebraska Omaha with a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and a graduate certificate in Gerontology. She has experience working with individuals, families, and groups in residential and outpatient community counseling, and addiction treatment settings.
In therapy, Liz takes a holistic approach to helping clients overcome challenges and meet their goals, often incorporating mindfulness-based interventions. She is a member of the Blue Cross Blue Shield provider network, expects to be credentialed with Nebraska Medicaid in 2018, and she sees clients for negotiated cash rates if they don’t have or choose not to use their insurance benefits.
Areas of professional interest and training include gerontology, trauma, grief and loss, and addiction. She is a trained EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) trauma therapist.
Liz began a formal mindfulness practice in 2014 and completed training in Mindfulness Based Relapse Prevention (MBRP) through the University of California San Diego Mindfulness-Based Professional Training Institute in 2017. She leads free monthly group meditations and offers mindfulness-based and trauma-informed individual therapy at Into Balance.
Karen Marker, MA, LIMHP, PLADC
Karen is a Licensed Independent Mental Health Practitioner, graduating from Doane University in 2014 with her Masters of Arts in Counseling. Her work experience includes providing advocacy and case management services in emergency shelter settings, providing therapy on an individual and group basis in residential addiction treatment centers and providing outpatient therapy in a private practice setting.
Karen takes a humanistic and holistic approach when providing therapy to her clients. She has professional interest and training in trauma-informed therapies, postpartum mood and anxiety disorders, intimate partner violence, and women’s issues. Karen is trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), and has special training to work with clients who come from a background of complex trauma and PTSD. She also has training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT).
