Amanda Austin-Mafilika, MA, is a Licensed Independent Mental Health Practitioner (LIMHP) and Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) in the State of Nebraska. She graduated from Doane University with a Master of Arts in Counseling degree.

Amanda’s therapy style is warm, engaging and compassionate. Her theoretical orientation is humanistic in it’s approach, with techniques from cognitive behavioral therapy and dialectical behavior therapy. She is also trained in eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), through EMDRIA.

Amanda has experience working with adults in individual and in group settings,  with a wide range of mental health issues including PTSD, dissociation,  depression, anxiety, and substance use. She also has helped many people who have experienced pain from discrimination and systemic oppression.
